Taylor Rogers runs the 100% Committed campaign as the Chapters Campaign Coordinator at The Climate Reality Project. In this role, she works to engage Climate Reality Chapters and trained Climate Reality Leaders to commit their local businesses, schools, and cities to 100 percent renewable electricity by 2030. She has worked extensively on community engagement in a variety of issues from climate change and environmentalism to education access with communities around the world.
Born and raised on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, she witnessed firsthand the impacts of climate change on the communities around her. She took those experiences with her to Malaysia as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant on the island of Borneo, where she infused her teaching curriculum with environmentalism, especially considering the continuous expansion of palm oil plantations in the local area. Before coming to Climate Reality, she worked for Global Citizen and Folk Arts Rajasthan based in in New York City.
She is a founding member of 260by26, a youth-led global education initiative, focused on connecting local community leaders getting youth into school with governments, institutions, and nonprofits that can provide further resources. She now lives in Boulder, CO where she continues to learn and understand the implications of climate change with a new lens in mountain communities
