The MT2030 Climate Solutions Summit is the annual gathering of key stakeholders from our mountain and outdoor communities: local government elected officials, staff and sustainability teams, ski resorts, business and community leaders, working together to implement bold ideas to meet the zero-carbon commitment.
Taking place at Breckenridge’s Riverwalk Center and at various small group locations throughout the downtown Arts District, the Summit will emphasize real action over just more talk.
The unique, collaborative format of the Summit features inspirational keynotes and conversations with some of our nation’s foremost climate, community, and business voices, with collaborative workshops that put ideas into tangible action.
Every attendee will leave the Summit with a fresh perspective of what real climate leadership is, a network of colleagues, and the tools to accelerate your climate action planning in your communities.
For Community Members: BreckCreate has a number of climate-related art installations and exhibits taking place throughout Breckenridge during the Summit. Public events include: Pete McBride’s “Chasing Water” presentation at the Riverwalk Center on 9/21, artist Justin Brice will be speaking and his “We Are The Asteroid” art will be installed throughout the Town, a Precious Plastics Remakerspace Open House for all, and much more. The relationships and knowledge we gained through our involvement in the inaugural Net Zero Summit were the tipping point for the commitments we have made in fighting climate change, including our pledge to net-zero emissions by 2030. As well, the level of collaboration on environmental sustainability efforts among Boyne Resorts and the ski industry’s other large resort companies has surpassed expectations and much credit goes to Mountain Towns 2030 for uniting us on this urgent crisis we can best address collectively.
