Join a collaborative community of climate action and sustainability leaders, taking action to solve the climate crisis.
“More so than most conferences, it was clear that everyone involved is driven by a deep and sincere love of place, of home. And with that love of place — along with all the limitations and restrictions that come with being a small place in a large landscape — comes a certain pragmatism and creativity that are, in our hyper-ideological times, incredibly refreshing.”

We’re excited to have Bill McKibben kicking off the Summit on October 7th. Bill is one of the nation’s most notable climate activists and the author of the forthcoming book “Here Comes the Sun: A Last Chance for the Climate and a Fresh Chance for Civilization” He is a contributing writer to The New Yorker, and a founder of Third Act, which organizes people over the age of 60 to work on climate and racial justice. Alongside seven Middlebury students, he founded the first global grassroots climate campaign, 350.org
To help attendees tackle specific climate challenges, peer-led workshops provide attendees with relevant, real-world insights on tackling climate challenges facing community leaders.
Climate Towns TV’s Rollie Williams will be the Summit host once again this year, adding expert insights, thoughtful interviews and a dose of humor to the Summit’s agenda.
We’ll be announcing more speakers soon!
The Summit is designed to give you plenty of time to catch up with colleagues, network and collaborate with community peers, and build a network that can help you tackle tough challenges, and accelerate your climate action.
To give Summit attendees more “active learning” opportunities, we’ve scheduled numerous field trip and “Learning Labs”; designated locations where attendees can dig into specific systemic topics with concise presentations, and informal time to collaborate with peers and access topical mentors.
We’re grateful to our corporate partners for their support. To learn more about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Chris Steinkamp at [email protected].
