Historically, cities have treated their financial management as a climate-neutral activity. However, new research illuminates that for many cities and towns, their banking and investing represents one of their largest sources of emissions and is passively undermining much of their tireless climate work. Fortunately, with the right approach in place, municipalities’ financial management can become one of their most impactful levers for driving climate progress.
Join us for a series of impact-focused working sessions where Topo Finance will teach you how to leverage your town’s financial management to drive climate impact. Plus, their team of experts will work with you to develop a tailored approach to transform your town’s financial management into a powerful climate solution.
Throughout this process, Topo will work with your town to customize all of these learnings to your needs so that you have the knowledge, tools, and strategies to drive measurable impact!
Session 1:
We’ll start with an introduction to financial management’s climate impact. You’ll leave with a path forward and some extra excitement about the impact you can generate.

Session 4:
It’s time to start moving from awareness to action, so we will discuss different opportunities your town has to start decarbonizing its finances (this is where things get good).
